Cannon Falls School of Dance 4th annual end of year production will take place on May 18th at the High School Auditorium with over 50 area students performing. The production will last approximately 90 minutes with two acts. It’s an incredible way to wrap up a great year with so much growth and improvements from all of the dancers. You will many, many smiles on stage filled with so many proud moments.
The production is under the direction of Madame Ashley Groth. Miss Abby Barrett is the school’s graduating senior and helped choreograph special select scenes. The show features dance styles of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and more with customized designed costumes and props. Public is welcome to attend with a free will donation accepted with all money raised going directly back to the school’s operation. Doors open at 2:45 p.m. Everyone is invited.
Act I: Crowning a Princess:
It’s Loosely based on the story of Cinderella where a young girl is excited to receive an invitation to the town’s ball. The story unfolds from there…
Intermission: Features a Senior Solo:
Miss Abby Barrett has an amazing performance for everyone to see. She’s our graduating senior that plans to major in Dance Education at North Carolina – Charlotte starting in the fall.
Act II: Rio
Our Tap and Jazz dancers will perform a compilation of music from the movie “RIO” and other various Latin songs.
Our first day of rehearsal went WONDERFUL. Everyone did a great job!! We started on-time and finished early.
